TEHRAN- On Saturday morning, Iranians from all walks of life, especially pupils, flocked to the streets to mark Aban 13, the day students seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979.

The day is known as National Day of Students or National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance.

This year Aban 13 (November 4) turned into a scene of protests against Israel, which has been committing indescribable crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7. 

The rallies kicked off in the capital, Tehran, and hundreds of cities and towns across the country at 9:00 a.m. local time (0530 GMT).

The marchers wearing Palestinian keffiyeh chanted slogans such as “Down with the U.S.” and “Down with Israel”.
